About Carrie

My name is Carrie Raab and I am so glad you’re here! A little about me…

All of my life I have loved learning about the human body, how we were created, what the body needs, each function of the body, and so forth, which led me to pursue a degree in Psychology. I love people and desire to listen and help them whether it is a spiritual, physical, or emotional need.  Because of my love for people, sports, fitness, health and overall wellness, I decided to go to school to become a Physical Therapist. Upon completion of my degree, I worked at a Sports Medicine Clinic, mainly treating athletes. I worked until the Lord blessed my husband and I with our first child. I left my role as a career woman and felt led to stay at home with my newborn son. I have been a stay at home mom ever since!  It has been 16 wonderful years wearing my “mommy hats”, but all the while still pursuing my dreams, gifts and talents that the Lord has given me.

This “stay at home” path led me down the road of homeschooling my now two adorable sons  This is a full time job in and of itself. Homeschooling has allowed my passion for health, wholeness, and nutrition to stay afloat because I am able to nurture that into my children daily. We spend a lot of time together talking about whole foods, nutrition, exercise, how God designed our bodies, and the importance thereof. I am very passionate about health and well being. I desire to see people healed, whole and set free: physically, spiritually, mentally and emotionally. My reason for this is because it is the word of God and I live my life to please the Lord in all I say and do.

I was introduced to Young Living Essential Oils and fell in love with the products. The oils and supplements are a fit for me and my family because they are all natural, plant based. The oils are therapeutic grade in their purest, most natural form. God’s word says, “Fruit trees of all kinds will grow on both banks of the river. Their leaves will not wither, nor will their fruit fail. Every month they will bear fruit, because the water from the sanctuary flows to them. Their fruit will serve for food and their leaves for healing.” Ezekiel 47:12.
I like having natural alternatives for my family!  God’s word says “ Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your bodies.” I Corinthians 6:19-20.

On this website, my goal is to share a variety of ways to support your health, naturally, to share God’s word and provide support to homeschool families.  My heart is to give God all the glory and please Him in every way! My desire is to find a group of people who love what I love and we learn and grow from one another.

A prayer and my blessing over you is this:  for you to achieve wholeness in body, mind, and spirit and to live life to the full, knowing that you were bought with a high price—Jesus, who offered Himself as the ultimate Sacrifice for us. He gave us all of himself, may we give Him everything back. I pray that you, God’s people will set the standard in overall health and thus be used greatly for His kingdom as a result. If we want to effectively fulfill our purpose in life and to reach the world for the Lord, we need our health!

I commit myself to you and your health.  Will you make that same commitment?

Bless you and thank you for stopping by and posting any feedback or comments!

Have a joy filled day!

I just start using YL and I came across your facebook page. I am really glad I found you. My husband is in service and we just move to Washington last year. We have some problem with our muscle and neck. Especially for my husband. I think we have over used our muscle. My husband used to work as landscaper so he used a lot of his muscle too, now he is a medic and is studying to become a physical therapy. He has to do his PT everyday at his unit and he always come home with sore on his neck and shoulder. I used to work really hard as a nurse aide now I work as a homehealth aid the job is lighter but I still wake up everyday with pain on my shoulder. I am also going to school to become a nurse and whenever I study a lot my shoulders are burning. So I’m trying to learn to use the oil the right way to improve our health. I hope you don’t mind I come here to learn from you. Blessing, Jin

Just read “about Carrie” and want to thank you for lifting up our savior, Jesus! I have a friend who has got me started on Nerium AD but am interested in essential oils ……I have chronic fatigue and am always open to new ideas and products other than most western meds…do you recommend any specific oils that gently support the immune system and/or discourage active viruses? Thanks!

I’m hitting that mid-century mark soon which means my body is not behaving any more and is gaining weight, hot flashes and all the other wonderful aches and pains that go along with turning 50. Can you recommend anything to help ease the transition through menopause? I have read up on bio identical hormones but am curious as to what you have to say or recommend. Thank you!

Carrie Raab September 10, 2013 at 3:39 pm

Hello Susie,
This would require some coaching. I am not a Dr. and do not diagnose nor prescribe, but if you are interested in using YL essential oils for natural health and wellness, then please email me and we can help you get started. Blessings, Carrie

I have recently become a YL distributor and it’s important to me to keep Jesus as the healer, and the oils as a tool. That’s why I looked you up. Thank you!

Hi Carrie,

I suffer from sever anxiety that I have to take meds for. Do you have an suggestions for oils that I can supplement Rx drugs with? I want to see if the oils can help and talk to my doctor about reducing dosages….I’d rather try natural god given remedies before supporting the pharmaceutical companies.

Carrie Raab January 29, 2013 at 2:58 am

Hello Kathy!
Yes, there are a few good options to choose from. Young Living lavender, peace and calming, and the citrus oils in your water are all good choices. Another favorite of mine is stress-away essential oil. A lot of our anxiety is stress related. You can purchase these via my blog at my store: http://younglivingoillady.com/store/ I hope you are able to reduce your meds by combining them with God’s healing oils. Please consult your doctor on this. These are simply suggestions! Thank you and God bless! :)

Shayla Johnson August 5, 2012 at 7:03 pm

Hi! I found your website through a friend’s post on Facebook. I have been dabbling into research on essential oils, and I’d love just to get the professional notes :) My family has allergies, and eczema pretty bad. I have found a lotion only available through dermatologist, or the derm store online. It’s from france and has been a miracle lotion!! We had previously used all other lotions, creams, and steroids with no luck. I am wondering if there are oils that can help with that as well. Also I struggle with anxiety quite a bit, and would love to see if there is an oil for that as well. I’m just really interested in knowing God’s natural remedies for things. I too am a stay-at-home mommy who is starting homeschooling this year! I am so excited to keep my children’s education in my hands, while ensuring a solid foundation for them to grow on! Any info that you could send would be great!!

Thanks So Much!

Carrie Raab August 6, 2012 at 5:38 pm

Hello Carrie,

I was searching the internet on essential oils and came across your site. So, can you please help me to understand why yours are good.

Thank You,

LR February 8, 2012 at 3:18 am

Hi, what a great site! I am an RN and have learned the last 25 yrs that ‘natural” first is how I look at solutions for my family and for myself.
My question is for our 25yr old son who has had Chronic Fatigue…mainly low adrenal/cortisol…for many years. He reacts to most everything the Naturopath has tried…would you have any advice for me to pass on…if essential oils could help him? He is an awesome young man…with many dreams…but no energy to fulfill them…yet!

Carrie Raab February 8, 2012 at 8:59 pm

Hi Lois! Blessings to you and I appreciate your kind words. Yes, essential oils can help, tremendously!! I will email you what I suggest/recommend for your son. :) Thanks for visiting my site!

Kristen January 15, 2012 at 2:53 am

Hi Carrie! Like Susie, I stumbled upon your site where I was also looking into healthy alternatives. I am currently in graduate school to become an occupational therapist – I also am humbled by the complexities of the body and the natural world around us. As I read and learn and study about our physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual selves, I can’t help but exclaim, “We praise You because we are fearfully and wonderfully made!” (Psalm 139:14). So very true and easy to say but so much harder to let it sink in and truly feel it at our core (e.g., when we are encountering our reflection in the mirror). Thanks for sharing your knowledge of and love of God. I look forward to learning more about essential oils and ways I can use them in my life and possibly in the lives of future clients to help them live more fully on their journey to wellness.

Carrie Raab January 15, 2012 at 3:29 am

Hey Kristen! Thank you so much for your kind words. It sounds like we have a lot in common! You are studying OT, and I studied PT. We both love the Lord and desire to help others in their journey to wellness. I know you will love learning about essential oils, they are God’s medicine, mankind’s first medicine.
You are a blessing and will bless many lives. You have a gentle heart for others and God will use you tremendously in your field of work. Feel free to ask me any health questions or concerns that you might have. I hope to hear from you again! Bless you! :)

Cara@homespunkitchen January 11, 2012 at 9:52 pm

I love your site! I think I can add to your Nutritional supplements section.. since you already have that category, but you need to believe in my ‘glorified’ supplements as well as young living! That’s why I respect you so much! So when can you give me 30 mins of your time? We can either talk by phone or I will show you in person? Let me know :) Love-Gloria
